A conversation about values.

Board members, leaders and those who bang on (and on) about leadership: join me (and 700 others) via Zoom for a grown-up discussion about values August 14.

I’ve handcrafted a panel of leaders from very special organisations. Each of their brands has risen above the riff raff to attract millions in donations, drive political change, represent people with little power and set the national agenda. They rattle cages and make change happen!

How have they done this? By clarifying and living out their values, regardless of the consequences.

Who is onboard:

  • Dianne McDonald, founder, Di-Namic Communications ex-YMCA

  • Melanie Reymond, chair, Youth Projects

  • Kathleen Maltzahn, CEO, Sexual Assault Services Victoria.

  • Hayley Cull, deputy CEO, engagement, Plan International Australia

They come from different sectors but they all have strong values which they communicate to attract passionate followers.

The free-flowing and free to attend discussion will be chaired by me Brett de Hoedt, a nonprofit marketer. I’ve specifically recruited our speakers for a free-flowing conversation looking at:

  • How they see their brands and position in the marketplace;

  • How they define their values;

  • Communicating and staying true to those values;

  • Keep a brand alive, fresh and relevant over the years;

  • Keeping a profile high among all the competition;

  • How they understand their audience’s connection to their values;

  • Speaking truth to power even when it gets awkward;

  • How they secure and ascertain audience support;

  • The value in ‘causing trouble’;

  • The value of creating a unique, values-driven brand.
